Matrox MX02-MINI - Resolume source

All,

Please forgive me as I am not an end user but I work for an AV integration company in Las Vegas and we are tasked with setting up the Resolume software for the end user in a Casino. I have never used VJ software before so I'm even less than a novice.

My live video input set-up is as follows:

Sony HDR-PJ710V > HDMI out > HDMI in to Matrox MX-02 Mini > PCIe cable out > PCIe host card into PC running Windows 7. When I use the Matrox software I can see the camera on the video monitor the PC is connected to.

However, I seem to have a problem with the camera video ccoming up as a "SOURCE". The Resolume software lists the "MATROX A/V INPUT" as a SOURCE but when I attempt to drag it into the CLIP area nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nevin

you need to specify what input resolution and Frame rate your camera is sending, before the MXO2 will show you it's captured image.

Thanks Stickygreen....but my problem doesn't lie with the MX02 - it lies with Resolume.

I can see the camera fine when using the Matrox AV Tools software. When I try to see the camera through the Resolume software I get nothing.

I think that Stickygreen means that you need to select the correct input on the source properties within Resolume.
From memory you will need to set the input connector and the resolution

I had some trouble with getting the settings for the MX02 to appear in Resolume but found the following when I installed a program called Enosoft DV processor http://www.enosoft.net/index.htm
The results of this is that it gave me some virtual sources in Resolume, one of which is called the Enosoft Virtual DV Renderer. I clicked on the settings for this source (in Resolume) and it came up with the Matrox A/V settings, with which I was able to select the HDMI input and it just worked.

I have had the MX02 working natively in Resolume but when I installed updates to my computer I lost the ability to access the source settings again and had to reinstall Enosoft.
I guess this is a driver clash of some sort.

I am now using a Blackmagic Intensity pro PCI-e card and have no problems with that.

well it depends if our on a MAc, or PC, but you either right click the MXO2 under inputs, or right click the cell where you have MXO2 loaded to, either or, and you'll get a box show up that gives you the option to adjust the resolution and frame rate
