Resolume Forum

Hi,

Is it possible to use resolume artnet input with controlling software on the same pc?
I know people did talked about it on this forum, but nobody did test it I think?
I know the artnet module get unavailable when all the network adapters on my pc are not connected of disabled, but will this be possible with the 127.0.0.1 network range???
Witch ip does my pc and the artnet controlling software (chamsys) need to be?

Maybe the software developers kwow the answer?

yep, i m trying this also.
I am under the impression that resolume needs an other ip adress...
If someone has a workaround...
It would realy come in handy !!

Sending Art-Net to the same IP address as where it's sending from is not possible in the Art-Net protocol (a sender cannot be receiver at the same time).

Apparently you can work around it with 'loopback' IPs or external hardware, but nobody seems to have enough experience with that to explain to us how it should work. If anyone would care to share their knowledge on this, you know where to find us
