Resolume 4.0 Output Always in Foreground?

PC-based Resolume user here.

Is it possible to configure Arena 4.0 to prevent the output display from overtaking the foreground? Previously with Avenue 3.0 running I could manually launch a separate VLC video to run "Always on Top" of Resolume's display and then auto-close when finished, thereby leaving the Avenue display viewable again.

It seems this is not possible in Arena 4.0. Resolume 4.0's output defaults to "Always on Top". I've searched through the 4.0 docs and Rez forums but found nothing on changing this default setting. And yes, I've tried converting my vids to native DXV but their post-rendering size is too unmanageable.

Can anyone lend insight? Many thanks in advance.

Resolume 4 is always on top to hide the mouse cursor. We put a lot of time and effort into making this work after several user requests, so we're not likely to reverse it.

BTW, you don't need to run DXV files exclusively in Resolume, it works with h264 and other codecs as well.

Understood and thanks for the quick reply, goto10.

I don't suppose it would be a user-configurable setting deep down and hidden in a composition .avc file or otherwise, then?
