Mac pro - which graphic card(s) for 3 outputs and 1 input?

Hello everyone,
I have MacPro4,1 and I want to buy for it a new card to have multiple outputs. I have heard that some PC cards works good with macs but not every one. Do you have some experience with multiple outputs card on Mac Pro? All those outputs have to be in high resolution and it is very important that the system will work very stable (this is for theatre show). I want to buy Arena and if it is needed, a better MacPro. Maybe the key is to have a few cards each with 1 output?
The second problem is the input card for this mac, if anyone of you have some experience with that I would be glad to hear some recomendations...
Also - third question - not as much important for me as the first one - I have also Mac Mini - are there some external graphic cards with multiple outputs that can work with this computer?
Thank you for any answer
Regards,
ksl
edit: also, I've hear that tools llike Dualhead, Triplehead dont give such good performance as normal graphic cards, so I would like to avoid those "splitters"
