DMX control and piano mode

Greetings

I've been playing around with making a very, very simple profile for the amazing Avolites Pearl Tiger (2008 model).
The idea is that it should be simple and fast to set up, and would allow any old-school lampie to operate both traditional lights, moving heads and an LED screen all from the same console. Also allowing impressive effects with minimum manpower and coordination, still just keeping it simple and basic (for the time being anyways).

The plan is that I've rewritten (for simplification and visual only) a fixture profile for the Pearl Tiger for Resolume that I found, and this is to act as a Master control for Resolume. Then, using piano mode, free layer and an Individual DMX channel for each clip, it would behave as the old-school expects, while at the same time limiting the amounts of clips playable at one time as to not overload the system.

Using midi I have been able to make a controller do EXCACTLY what I want, even going so far as to make the clip trigger, and the clip specific opacity run on the same channel (quite tedious to map btw), so the faders in effect works like old theater lamps, only each fader is a specific looping clip.

The Master profile I modified works great, actually.
HOWEVER, that's kinda where my success ends. When mapping the DMX input I get quite different results, and cant really get anything to work.

I've tried patching the channels as either dimmers, of fixtures (using a profile I wrote so I can fiddle around with HTP, LTP and ranges)

The results usually ends one of two ways:
I map a clip by activating DMX mapping and physically sliding the fader on the desired DMX channel:
Any movement on the channel resets the timeline, and I cant turn the clip off.

I map a clip by activating DMX mapping and specifying the desired DMX channel in resolume:
Everything works perfect, EXCEPT I can only play each clip once, even in piano mode. And to play it again, choosing an empty column dosent work, I have to reboot Resolume.

Ive read another post here where DMX and clips triggering only once was discussed, and in there someone said they had piano mode working via. ArtNet, so I am at a loss at what to do.

Using a generic Low-Medium end Win7 laptop, and its connected via. the Enttec DMX USB Pro
I have disabled auto DMX mapping

What I have yet to try (tho I will report back once I have):
Using another Enttec DMX USB pro (Just unboxed this one tho, so doubt that's the issue)
Reinstalling Resolume
Reinstalling Windows (Or just test with different computer I guess)

It really grinds my gears that I can get it working using midi, but not DMX.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Especially since the most prominent oldschool lampie requesting this from me is my dad...

It seems there is indeed something going wrong with retriggering clips via DMX. We'll look into it.

Do you have a link of the thread where this was first reported? Must have slipped under the radar.

Well im not exactly forum savvey, but here goes with the link:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9163&hilit=dmx+piano

As you may notice, the point of that thread was to trigger a clip, run it full length and let it stop, then trigger the same again. So not exactly the same issue as mine

The reason i brought it up was the the 2nd post in that thread suggests the use of piano mode, and mentions it works for him over ArtNet. So it might just be an issue via the enttec.

I belive I have a 4.0.0 .exe lying about somewhere, i'll give it a go with that and see what happens.

EDIT: 4.0.0 pretty much the same.

EDIT: I should mention that I am running the newest Enttec DMX USB Pro driver, and its firmware is also the latest, v1.44
