bpm sync?

Hi,
I can get Resolume to sync to a MIDI clock input. Everything is blinking correctly on the left side. But I can't figure out how to use BPM Sync in the transport of a clip. When I change from timeline to BPM Sync, the clip freezes with a blue bar. It doesn't matter whether the clip also has an audio file. Sorry for such a basic question. Appreciate any feedback.

The blue bar is an indication of the beat snap. If you are sure the BPM clock is running, it could be that the beat snap is set to a very high value. Try setting it to 1 bar (or even none) via the Composition menu.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply. I have made a video and uploaded it to Youtube to illustrate the problem I am continuing to have. My DJ mixer is generating a MIDI clock and Resolume is correctly BPM syncing to it. I have a 6 second video clip (from one of the packs I bought in your store) that I want to bounce back and forth in time with the music. By setting the beat snap to "none" I can successfully trigger the clip. The problem is, I want the clip to start at the beginning of a musical bar. (You will see me re-triggering the clip off the beat with "none" snap... but I want it to sync up using beat snap). When I change the beat snap to anything besides "none" the clip will not play and I get the blue bar. In the video you see me trying "8 bar" and then "4 bar" without success. I should not have tried 8 bar because it's a 4 bar loop... sorry about that. But I tried all the other beat snap iterations also without success.

Your response greatly appreciated.

Hmmm. Thanks for the clear video, something is indeed going wrong.
Can you post a screenshot of your audio preferences?

Here is a screenshot. It's a little blurry but legible. I am using an Alesis io2 external USB audio interface with ASIO4ALL driver. If you think this might be causing the problem, I can try another audio interface. The external audio FFT works fine. I am using MOTU MIDI express XT for MIDI.
