Old resolume compression RLE.avi, how to convert it ?

For a early version of Resolume, it was recommended to use a compression which my computer now calls : MICROSOFT RLE.avi ( the original compressionname i do not know anymore ... i suppose it was in Windows 2008 ) In your manual you recommended this compression.
Anyway.
I dug up my old loops for a project, and After effects & MPEG streamclip do not play it.
I need to edit them in After effects, how to convert them to useable files with a program which will play it ?
Cant seem to find a way...

Thank in advance.
Krista !

you should install a codec, just found a codec pack in google http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ace ... s_pack.htm

if the media isn't still supported may you have luck with other programs like "Super" http://www.chip.de/downloads/SUPER-2012_17370353.html

thanks. I will give that a try.
But i am not going to install all those codecs, than my machine will start to cry anyway.

Does anyone know the original name of the compression/codec that was advised by resolume in the first versions ?

Could it be Indeo? Indeo used to be pretty good, but they dropped support for it on Win 7.

check the ligos website here with some explanation why Indeo is missing on win7 and osx: http://ligos.com/index.php/home/support/indeosupport/

you can run a virtual machine with xp if you have Win7 pro ;)

And to make it work on Apple you'd need OS9. Which pretty much comes down to: No it doesn't work on Apple.
