Dear all,
I am looking for software with very specific features which I hope to find in Resolume. I have not yet worked with Resolume, and hope that you experts are willing to tell me whether it is able to fulfill my desires before I spend hours of investigation for nothing.
I am looking for software with which I can really live-edit video. With this I mean software that enables me to output video on a big screen while searching through a self made database, scan through the videos in the database, decide an in point and then output it on the big screen as a clean cut. Then the whole process will start all over again. I've found out that most vj software is designed to work with pre-modified clips and I want to work with long clips and to be able to decide where they should start at the last moment.
Another important feature is that I need to create a database with a complicated folder structure in which one file can be put in different folders (preferably as references and not copied many times on my hard drive).
I'm used to working with Final Cut Pro, which would be perfect for my desires if it would be able to continue outputting video while looking for the next shot. Unfortunately the output video (the canvas) stops playing as soon as you open a video in the preview window.
I hope you guys can help me.
Thanks in advance,
Daan

If i understand this correctly then i will say no. but i could be wrong - ive never needed to do something like this before.Another important feature is that I need to create a database with a complicated folder structure in which one file can be put in different folders (preferably as references and not copied many times on my hard drive).
Yeah this is completey possible. you also have the option to preview a clip whislt the triggered clip just plays.I'm used to working with Final Cut Pro, which would be perfect for my desires if it would be able to continue outputting video while looking for the next shot. Unfortunately the output video (the canvas) stops playing as soon as you open a video in the preview window.
