Syphon FreeFrameGL client and server plug-ins Question.

Hi,

I need to send some layers to another app via Syphon, I read in other post that the Syphon FreeFrameGL client server plug-in can be used to achieve that.

Where the file Syphon Server.bundle must be placed so it will appear on Resolume Avenue 4.1.1 Effects list?

I placed it at Applications/Resolume Avenue 4.1.1/plugins/vfx but it doesn't appear on Avenue's effects browser.

thanks!

Did you restart the application?

BTW, Syphon is natively supported on Resolume 4.1 and up. Sending layers to multiple Syphon outputs via the Advanced Output is natively supported on Arena.

Thanks goto10 for your help!

I did restart the application several times.

I know that Arena support sending individual layers, but I'm using Avenue.

Is there some other thing I can do to have the FFGL Syphon plug-in server working?

Thanks!

You can check your log file (prefs -> feedback -> view log) to see if the plugin loads correctly or not.

[SOLVED]

Thanks to the info on the log I realized that my vfx path was wrong.

Some time ago I did install 4.1.2, after I realize the "invert" bug I decided to stay with 4.1.1 but I didn't realize that the vfx path was changed also for 4.1.1

Now vfx path is pointing to the correct place so I can see the syphon server plug in at my FX browser, and by the way it works perfect.

Thanks a lot!
