Drop Shadow

Is it possible to add a Drop Shadow effect in a near future release?
There is a downloadable drop shadow effect in this post.
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8506&hilit=drop+shadow#p31551
works well in conjunction with the auto mask effect.
