So, I like to send audio levels to Arena via the Livegrabber set of Max for Live devices for Ableton Live – as this let's me do it with multiple channels.

Thanks for that tip – I deleted the reg file and managed to do an offline registration.

The FFT analysis in Avenue is the best I've seen in software of this ilk, but as I will have many more audio channels I would want to take in as modulators I think this is gonna be a cool way of doing.

I had this problem on an old machine running 2.41 - no swf files show up at all when loaded into a deck.
In Avenue, the demo files show their properties in the clip property editor, but their place in the deck is a blank black square.

I guess the best example is found in VDMX, whereby any parameter which is being modulated can have a 'behaviour' effect put onto it... this really opens up some more organic and fluid shaping of the modulation - with smoothing, inverse etc. functions.
