In resolume I can only select the one capture driver, and that shows the movie. I can't set anything I guess?
If you double click the source in the sources list it gives you access to the device parameters.

I initially had problems with the supplied drivers -- low capture resolution, and jerkiness in resolume, that was solved by getting updated drivers -- in my case on plugging my device into a different usb port windows re-detected it, and I selected the "check windows update for new drivers" option ...

No reason why a TV tuner with Composite in wouldn't work. I chose the USB option as I run resolume on a laptop, so don't have the option of pci cards. I didn't look into a USB tv tuner though, but again no reason it shouldn't work -- it's all similar technology.

Based on the assumption that you already have a working Resolume machine, the cheepest solution I've found for video mixing (in the UK) is to capture the source into the resolume machine with one of these[1] and mix it in using the VideoCapture Source. If you want to use an external switcher, then ...

update

Hey,
Quick "post show" update on the solution we resorted to.
Having found the only way to stop the artnet broadcasts was to close Resolume, we resorted to disconnecting resolume from Artnet, and selecting the few bits of flash we needed to use manually. Playing the remaining content from the ...

Artnet Broadcast noise

Hi,

I'm currently setting up a lighting + media rig for a 24 hour musical at uni (we found out what the show was at 17:00 yesterday, and first performance is 17:00 today!)

However we've run into a problem.

On firing up resolume and enabling Artnet, we found that it periodically broadcasts all ...

Hi

I should be able to get hold of an ArtNet->DMX converter (IE so both resolume and the LEDs leave the desk via artnet) and will see how that performs.

IIRC I should also be able to get the artnet thing that appears on the taskbar to display channel values as they arrive, so I'll see if I can ...

Video preview on Lighting Desks

I noticed at PLASA this year the Chamsys guys ( http://www.chamsys.co.uk ) have got their lighting desk to pull back (static) preview images from media servers (they demo'd it with a hippotiser IIRC) they then produced this as pallet on the desk to making clip selection easier.
Whilst chatting to ...

Resolume with Artnet Control

Hi,
Earlier this week I did my first gig combining Video output with Ambient lighting (to create the backdrop for a small gig at out students union -- karaoke of all things..) I was using resolume as a media server, matching the video with colour from some LED pars from the lighting desk. We were ...

Don't forget that you can also control the RGB components of the back drop (ie the colour behind Layer 1) via DMX, so could run this the other way, tieing the back of the video to the LJ's output.
