Actually I've just managed to answer my own question...

Installed QuicktimeAlt 1.81 (that version because of a posting about importing AVC from a Xacti camera into Vegas for editing, which I have to do for a wedding video!).
Installed the DXV codec using its own installer.
Copied:
C:\Program Files ...

Since I decided to upgrade good old Resolume 2. to 3. I had to convert all my clips with DVX Compressor... I installed new codec on my MacPro and my converter MPEG Streamclip is converting with DVX just fine... For my gigs I use PC and therefore I instaled DVX Compressor and tried to convert but ...

I am sorry I wasn't clear... I wonder what is max res that will still play three layers with some effects on at the same time without jerking in stoping video output...
