I work with Avenue btw, not Arena.

Essentially, what would be needed is a 'watch folder', that Avenue polls every x seconds.

I do now use NDI from the streaming app to Avenue, but that requires me to start the replays, whereas I would like the colleague ...

searching yielded no definitive answer, so ....
could someone tell me if Avenue (on Windows) can monitor a folder, and can automatically put any video file (mpeg2) that arrives in that folder, on a layer ?
Polling of that folder does not have to be continuous, e.g. every 10 seconds would ...

I had the same problem, turns out that since I use QuickTime Alternative 1.81,
I had to copy the 2 DVX .qtx files into
C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime Alternative\QTSystem

(I use QT Alt because of MPEG StreamClip).

Emulator ... if I picked up the right one ... of no use to me: Windows-only, even for Tablets (no iOS, no Android).
No mention of something like OSC over Wifi.
I already use TouchOSC and its editor on Android tablet, which works with RA.
Still, having VNC / RDP on Tablet with the actual RA showing ...

hmmm starting to find it ... using 6-colors image on a cell in a lower layer, and setting upper layer (containing the .qtz file) to 50 Mask.

Or is there a more elegant / robust way?

I'm using a piece of QC (.qtz) to read a bit of xml (actually, rss-feed, stored in a local .csv file with some xml around it).
The .qtz works just fine in RA 4.
