Re: Decent mapping of individual videos or layers
@GeeES
The tile effect doesn't work the way you would expect.
I also need a tile effect where you can say: 2y and 6x with result of having 2rows and 6collumns. the current tile effect can NOT do this, neither can the videowall effect.
see my post from last week: http://resolume.com/forum/viewtopic ...

Re: multi screen Avenue setup
Thanks for the replys:
@HerrNieda
Good workaround that will work. Never thought of that, but a lot of work each time.
I could make a deck where all clips are 3x times.
And you're right about the bug today the bug wasn't there all the time.

Re: Getting 'in touch' with Resolume
TouchOsc for the win, I'm now waiting for the Android version he's building.
Also i'm still hoping for a app that can not only touch Resolume but also interact with it (showing thumbnails and can be used as a preview monitor for example).

multi screen Avenue setup
I'm planning a multi screen setup (3 wide 1 high 3x 800x600) ad run into some problems/bugs.
But overall i'm very happy that it is easier to setup than i thought.
This is what i've done so far:
composition: 2400x600
advanced output (only tested with no external display connected):
set all screen ...

Re: MAsk render order
Hi Joris thanks for your reply again.
Unfortunately i've no idea how to improve it :) The only thing i thought of was a function where if you apply a mask, that everything outside the mask would be masked too. but i think this would generate some unwanted side effects in other situations (like when ...

Re: Projection mapping with Photoshop and Resolume
If the corners don't hit the building you could also project a grid instead of a white solid. and then use this grid as a reference in Photoshop.
For the lens types: the mapping i did was mostly on flat surfaces with objects of almost no depth, maybe this is why i dont had any problems with it ...

Re: Projection mapping with Photoshop and Resolume
I do it completely different:
-Project a white fullscreen solid with Resolume
-take a picture of the screen with you camera as close to the projector as possible.
-in Photohop open a new file with the same resolution as you Resolume output
-load your picture and drag the corners of your white solid ...

Re: MAsk render order
Thanks for the reply Goto,
In the meanwhile i edited my post
In understand that these functions are very difficult to add, but they are very essential functions if you are working allot with mapping and masking. This way the biggest part still needs to be done pre-process.

Re: MAsk render order
I'm Waiting for this too.
I always use masks and this is preventing me from using many effects or rescaling a clip.
In the laser software i use (Showtacle, Fiesta2) you also have this option (you need this to map mirrors and mirror balls). you can resize the show but it doesn't affect the mapping ...
