Just as an update, I put some of the stock flash files and made them audio reactive too. Turns out it's a problem in general with Flash.

I have fancied getting some Flash files working so I built a simple SWF that has 9 bars in a row, each's height is a parameter. Thing is, even linking two of them to them to the audio slows the program right to a halt. There's no noticeable effect on the rest of the system, just Arena.
