I had the same problem, I now use Bome's Midi translator to work around it.

It lets you turn midi values into key presses.

I did a show on Saturday with resolume 2 beta 2. It went great but I did have a few problems.

Some of my clips blacked out the sceond screen, the only way to get the second screen back online was to reapply the screen settings which reset the projector.
