Control Via Artnet (DMX)

Any one here controlling resolume via DMX?

am setting up a personality for the Avolites Perl and the Perl Expert (expert after new software release)

so far I am thinking that I am going to have to make 3 or 4 fixtures to control resolume, has anyone else done this yet, any one got any pointers ...

ok so over the weekend i found out that the problem is caused with the microsoft keyboard and mouse drivers, seems that after a fresh install i could minamize resolume and restore with no problems, but after i installed the MS drivers major problems with minamizing resolume.

yes i have found this problem with resolume. when i minamiz res it ither wont come back or the interface dont change altho the out put is changeing (using midi controler).

If you need to access your desktop while using resolume, use the windows key to gain access to your start menu and any other ...

i have used frosted perspex, this works out cheap but not ideal you loses a bit of quality on the projection....... :ugeek:

I like to use Adobe prem AE Il PS etc also 3d studio max, altho not used it in a while as AE and prem do most of what i need

yer just tryed opening up a network share on both PC's to get the vidnet working in the direction that we want but it is still not showing up on the pc that we want it to and on the pc that it dose show on, it's still crashing resolume and PC.

Duno if this is worth trying to fix or 2 wait for V3 to ...

nice tip will try this, as we have beeen having the same problem with Vidnet crashing the pc we are trying to stream to.

we are aslo having issues with one 1 pc being able to see the other pc eg resolume can only stream in one directions, have tryed using fresh installs onf XP using gigabit hub ...

if you are needing to read off a portablu hdd the play a mp3 track from the hdd in loop mode. this will keep the disk spinnig and wont take up much transferbandwidth i have come across the same issue and this is my fix, not ideal but it works. And it's not very oftern i have to do it that way.....

when riping a dvd there is no loss in quality unless you reencode it on rip.

one thing tho if you are riping DVD then you probabily want to keep the file in the same dvd format of .mpg and also the same bitrate, normaily around 4-5mbr.

as you are using premier what setting are you using for the ...
