We also use Panasonic PTZ cameras (AW-HN130), and would like to echo all of the above points! Especially the ability to disable the PTZ recall when the source is selected - the integrated controls are nice, but we will always be using a dedicated controller instead.

Why not just run your MBP through the Datapath? You could have a lot of screen real estate very quickly!
