Is there any way to map the Mask Mode to a MIDI shortcut, or is it only available by right-clicking on the layer?

My goal is to set a specific layer to "One Below" Mask Mode with the touch of a MIDI button, instead of right-clicking.

When I use the One Below setting on a layer, it seems to mask everything EXCEPT the layer directly below. It worked fine before the most recent update, but now it seems to do the opposite of what is intended.
