I have just spent some time going through some patches doing exactly that. Have a great Xmas and New Year - one that hopefully includes sub-patching in Wire, which I've been using daily the last few days ...

Re: Wire: Feature suggestion: Expose type on Gradient
@tijnisfijn, thx for reply. I'm a frequent Wire user and already familiar with the option to expose or hide specific inlets (a nice feature I use often). I'm using an older Wire version 7.13.2.17774, and at least on that version, as far as I can tell, the Type inlet is not exposable, see screenshot ...

Wire: Feature suggestion: Expose type on Gradient
If you haven't already (I don't have the latest Wire version) could you please expose the 'type' as a drivable inlet (pin/port) on Gradient , so one can easily choose between Horizontal, Vertical, Radial, Angular.

Wire: Feature suggestion: Dedicated per-Wire version chooser input for blend modes
A frequently useful input control is the ability to choose a blend mode for a VideoMixer . This can be achieved using a Choice In and a lot of patience assigning options to integers that match blend modes, but this is then specific to a particular version of Wire (to the blend modes available for ...

Re: Wire: Feature suggestion: Passive visual node grouping nestable container with name/title for easier patch managemen
@JBroadway I really appreciate your sensible observations on this topic:
I was kind of just expecting that I'd be able to compile it into a single node and use it across different projects since merging nodes together is pretty standard for node based workflow programs.

Re: Custom effect groups.
Concerning Wire as a candidate solution or workaround. I am a frequent Wire user and create custom FX for Resolume using Wire. Although it can do some of what this feature suggestion wants to achieve, it is not a replacement for this feature suggestion:

Q: Is there some way to automatically check a SyphonRecorder capture video file for frame drops (or via Resolume)?
I have an M1 Max MacBookPro and am getting good results with some quick tests with SyphonRecorder (set to 30FPS). But at 30FPS it's not as smooth as the almost nearly constant 60FPS composition display.
The composition preview FPS display hovers just over 60FPS but sometimes drops below, so I ...

Thx for reply.

Yes, but then it's harder to drive a total delay time. For example, if a computed required delay time is 34 seconds, you need to first "know" you'll need 2 chained Delay elements, because it's greater than 20, then do some extra ...
