Hey,
I think costumization, price and service are needed with laptops because they are hard to upgrade, if at all.
So heres some of my experience with dell.

Yes... the thing about having a slow internal HDD for OS and Resolume speed, which made me ask this question, is that i do have 4gb of ram in my laptop and the laptop itself is (as i hope) fast enough (dell m1530 xps) that the ram/cpu specs would be able to carry the processes well enough to only ...

Resolume 3 can not stream video via Lan.
I dont know if this is possible with any third party software, maybe you should consider using/renting a hardware video mixer. For example an edirol v4/v8.
