So it sounds like given that my videos are intended to play forward at normal speed (full screen HD, no alpha, no layering) and that these videos are 4-8 minutes each, there isn't really any performance advantage to moving from H.264 to DXV for my particular use case. Is that the general consensus?

The drummer uses a click track to stay synced.
So our videos will always be forward play, and no scrubbing or manipulation of playback speed. We start the videos on the first downbeat of each song.

I am using Avenue. I would like to create a keyboard shortcut that will fade whatever is playing right now to black. Is that possible?
