First of all tell the resolution that you have on your iMac output. As I know the led has a native 1024 x 768 resolution. Other resolution are obtained by scalling, cropping and moving the original image.
So at least you must try to provide an output resolution of 1024 x 768 at 60 Hz. If you must ...
