Well actually, fading would not work for SMPTE as far as i know.
But having two timecodes i beleive you have a couple of options right now:
1. Switch between the timecodes on the way in to your computer (maybe with a mixer or something else?)
2. Get a second computer and then use a videomixer and ...

If you have a router on the network and you send to the multicast adress (normally IP *.*.*.255 Ex. 192.168.1.255) the message will be sent to all units in the network.

You have 4 parts in this problem:
* The computer
* The adapter
* The cable
* The projector
As i understand it you have eliminated the adapter and the cable - so you are halfway
Try hooking it up to TV/Monitor instead of the projector?

Yes you might have to adapt your output screensizes and such to fit the videowalls, but that should work with a videomixer anyway. Most of the videowalls I have 'stumbled' over have SDI/DVI/HDMI/VGA or such inputs that should work with any ...
