i'm looking for a product (hardware or software) that can convert the signals coming from a standard QWERTY USB keyboard into assignable MIDI notes.

can anybody point me in the right direction? thanks!

so i bought the dell XPS gen2, getting ready to break it in with DC Icey tonight, but i can't get the resolume interface fullscreen at 1920x1200.

is the resolume interface strictly limited to a max screen resolution of 1280x800 or something? help!

heh! i just did the donald glaude show here in seattle, with a resolume/v-4 combo. he rocked it, as usual, though i can't offer any advice re: web streaming. pics of the event here:

wow! has anybody used that? looks like a wonderful addition to my system - laptop + UC33e....exactly what a bunch of knobs and faders need....non-musical buttons!

yeah - i went ahead and bought a UC33e, thus far i'm very impressed, really changed my whole outlook/style with resolume live.

however, i'd really love a device that was simply a grid of assignable buttons....like 16 - 100 assignable buttons. so simple that nobody has ever made it?

i'm thinking about getting a dell xps gen 2 for a resolume visuals laptop. any thoughts? is it worth the bucks for the 256mb nvida geforce go 6800 ultra? will that make any difference with resolume? or should i concentrate on ram/cpu? does pentium M sacrifice anything noticeably over a P4 ...
