I using a labtop, with XP pro, 9700 RADEON, pentium 3.2 , Hdd 7200 rpm, 1 gig of Ram.

do you use it for live gig?
is the live audio output from the DJ mixer via small jack into a labtop doesn't take too much of your processor power ?

virtual dub should do the job for most of your encoding
indeo codec, or morgan codec 320 X 240 is a good basic compression set up to encode your files with, and out put at this size is ok

I assign my favourite filters on F4, F5, etc, i got about 30 shortcuts like that;
BUT I GOT TO re assigned THOSE shortcuts every new version,

YES , it would be nice, to save within deck info
the way the layers superimpose, (wipes, multiply, difference etc...)and maybe , (greedy i know) keep the way sliders are set to for those 3 layers.
IT might make the program more complicated...but in the case such feature doesn't harm the stability ...

It would be good to be able to load the same video clip in the 3 layers f1, f2,f3.
i realise it is possible to do so by duplicating that clip renaming it,
but isn't very practical for a live gig ...
