if there's a piece of software that compose things like that live, I haven ...

if you are live you can't render on the same machine while your live unless you want a crash....
lies....I render/convert while live all the time...

mind you, I'm running some pretty ridiculous systems;

2x gtx 780 in SLI
32gb ram (going to upgrade to 64....after effects ...

For that much video processing, I would really suggest something with a better GPU...you will not be able to get anything decent out of a single mac book doing 8 outputs and an input

Look up a company by the name of Moment Factory....they can definitely help you out and they're amazing at what they do

are you sure the projectors resolution doesn't change when you send it signal? The blue screen (typically 'no signal) isn't always the same size as what you've set it's resolution to be

the answer to your second question is no, although you can get around this by doing two identical slices with different layers mapped to them

I have 4 servers for rent (3 x 4 4k outputs w/ input cards, and a macbook that does a single out) in North America :)

I know of a couple other arena servers here for rent as well...

Realistically the cost of a license is ridiculously cheap.....by the time you rent it for 2 weeks you'd probably be ...

So what I think you're after:

You want to make a star shape (for instance), by freely drawing five points marking the outer radius and five points marking the inner radius. Then you can freely position these 10 points on the output transformation to align the projector output to your star object ...
