Problem Solved. I did have all the latest drivers and service pack 2. The problem was one of the bundled pieces of software that came with my Asus A8N Sli deluxe board was grabbing recources and lagging Resolume. Resolume used to be very stable for me. Ive built a new, much better machine and now it doesn't run for more than a few minutes.
Machine now:
Operating System: Win XP
Processor: amd athlon64 3500
Videocard:Dual 512mb geforce 7600
Files type:.swf, .avi, .mpg
Codec:indeo 5.1
