Would be cool to see 'stackable clips' if you have 2-4 clips that work really well one after the other when used on auto pilot, would be cool to be able to drop all the clips, into a single clip slot and have them auto piloting all after each other. Would add a whole new dynamic to the auto pilot feature!

I like this, we did some experiments with having multiple clips/tracks in a clip slot, but our use was having multiple clips playing in sync in one slot and having faders to fade tracks in and out.
But having them as big clips is also an interesting approach.

Envelopes for BeatLoopr ---- ******

Would be great to see Beat Loopr have it's own Envelopes!! When using Beat Loopr set to bounce it is currently some what jarring!! ----- Having envelopes would make BeatLoopr look 10x better and make it a lot more viable to use!!
It look's like what you describe the "BeatLooper" to be, is actually how the default settings for a videoclip is!
When the Transport section on a clip is set to Timeline, you can put in your preferred length of a clip under Duration. And you also have the possibility to bump it to halv or double speed (/2 and *2)

The Envelope function you want is probably also already in R7.
As you probably know is that you can envelope a lot of parameters in a Clip, Layer, Group or Composition.
And the function I think you are looking for is when you enable envelope, a parameter add it's own Timeline to it. But you can change this to follow the Clip Position, on the cogwheel where you enables the envelope. This makes the envelope to follow the bounce of your clip.

No not quite; as in the clip timeline itself needs its own envelope; I want the clip playhead to have an envelope more so than any effects or parameters -- otherwise I'd just be using the clip position to try and hide the fact that 'bounce' looks jarring --- cheers tho : )

Type: Source / Sampler / Synth / Plugin / Insert

Concept: Movie Production Center

Detail: The Movie Production Center is a source / sampler / synth that can input audio-video, save it to a pad (like MPC or FORCE or PUSH) and auto-sample chop BPM regions / audio-sync, across all pads to disperse the long form recorded fine video, across all pads equally, to play video like audio, using push pads.

Dilemma(s):

1) How to get a whole 45+ minute fine-cinematography video, to auto-chop segments across all pads equally, without manually sloppy-chopping.
2) How to midi map spread a whole video automatically across 16-64 pads, to play parts of a video like a musical instrument with visuals, in example, for ASMR beats... People like to see the original sound live being played big behind the performer, as live as possible (and we can latency-free, send wireless video into Resolume at this time

Trials:

a) I tried everything, from chopping in Resolve, through Alley DXV conversion of all 64 clips, but simple playback makes Resolume crash - I sent a few reports as it was happening and tried to describe what I was doing and what I changed.

b) MPC/Force has audio AUTOSAMPLING ability and I was wondering if Resolume had any interest in that ability for video. Resolume could LEARN where the chops are, to AUTOMATICALLY apply cues at exact time stamps and assign midi that way. It looks like maybe Resolume could autosample videos out to clips and have those mapped to midi. Or perhaps a whole new box would be needed in Resolume just for video sampling and finally getting PADS and ARRANGEMENT for Resolume video.

c) I loaded a 45 minute video into Ableton and exported only the audio and put that audio into MPC autosampler, with parameters set for the video to chop equally into REGIONS across 64 pads. Then I can play all the sounds randomly. But since the audio is detached from the video, I need something to connect and read the cuts accurately - we are not trying to fake it.

Conclusion: Since I beta test for Resolume with NDA, they told me in email to post this in the group to recruit someone or a few people to make this possible.

Looking for the something similar (reposting from few months ago):

Need a way to create a stutter effect where a video clip advances X number of frames and then reverses Y number of frames. This would create a type of a stutter effect where video clip would play forward for 5 seconds (x) and then reverse for 2 seconds (y) then repeat. Maybe this would be the equivalent of a play head envelope. I understand this can be done in Wire but I am looking for a simpler solution within Avenue.

In general there seem to be many posts/requests for more control over playback/playhead but not seeing any of those actually being implemented.
