[fixed] new machine - new crash

Post by visualjourney »

Resolume used to be very stable for me. Ive built a new, much better machine and now it doesn't run for more than a few minutes.
Machine now:
Operating System: Win XP
Processor: amd athlon64 3500
Videocard:Dual 512mb geforce 7600
Files type:.swf, .avi, .mpg
Codec:indeo 5.1

Resolume works fine for a minute or 2 then crashes and starts eating memory. I looked in the forum and the memory leaks should be fixed in 2.3 yes? Anyone have any ideas for me? I have all new drivers for everything including chipset and updated bios. Built this machine for better resolume performance so it's very frustrating.
Thanks, B

Problem Solved. I did have all the latest drivers and service pack 2. The problem was one of the bundled pieces of software that came with my Asus A8N Sli deluxe board was grabbing recources and lagging Resolume. I'm not sure what software it was because I removed the whole bundle, but it was either the AI Overclock or the temp monitor. Those are the only two that constantly draw recources.

My system is SMOKING now. I can have 2 layers running clips as long as 20 minutes. One layer with a live cam. Effects on all clips and all layers if I want. 32 bit color. Processing at 10 X 7, output at 10 X 7 without a hiccup. I've finally opened up Resolumes potential.
