deck file format

Post by cuak »

would it be possible to document the fileformat of deck files?
my idea is to develop some free tools to manage the deck files.

my main concern is to move movie files around and being able to adjust the deck files to set the new locations, without loosing the in/out pos, effects, and such.

or maybe to copy deck effects from one slot to another...
it'd be nice if you could release the structure of .dck file format.

or maybe add those tools/features yourself, a "relocate video file", "copy slot effects", "copy in/out points" and maybe a copy all. just like photoshop's copy layer effects...

simple but very usefull features.

that's it :P

I'd really love to see Resolume change they way "Decks" work.

You should be able to save your "Decks" at the root of your
source folder. (or wherever you want for that matter)
You should be able to move your Vj folder to other drives and the decks within just move with them and retain the links.
The decks should "think" of themseves as being the root, instead of being in "My Documents/Resolume"
It's a must have for people doing allot of differnt gigs where they need to swap content allot or use multiple external drives.
Most peeps desperatly need better "Deck" managment in Resolume.
Who wants to keep re-building Decks??? Nobody thats who.
