How to trigger video with just software only ?

I am a film/ video editor. I was wondering if there is a way to cut the video clip automatically with the music, without any external hardware. Using just the software Resolume only ?

Resolume is a Software VJ program, so yes, you can just use resolume.. but how 'automatic' do you want it?
