map the button to select the active clip

I wonder why I can't map the buttons on each layer where you can select the active clip. That would be really helpful.

it works for me.

if you assign a key to the small section below the video, that only makes it preview, you have to assign a key to the main part ( the bit with the video in)

hmm, but for me either the part with the picture in it nor the lower part with the name in it seems to be assignable to me. As I know the buttons you can map to keyboard or midi have a colored overlay, when you are in mapping mode, but these two fields don't. Or am I missing something?

those areas show in blue on my computer ( im on a pc ) when in mapping mode.

As you can see on the picture above, on my computer - also a PC - the yellow overlay (midi mapping) is not visible in those areas. It's the same when I do keyboard mapping (blue overlay).

i just re-read your eplaznation and looked at the picture a little more and resalised that i had got confused. you are correct.
