Set Fadetime between A and B

Post by bright! »

Hi there

love the new Avenue Release. Great Job guys. Just one question. When assigning some layers to A and some to B, i can perfectelly slide from all the A to all the B Layers in the Composition. Nice :-) But how would i do a hard cut? Is that just possible whith a fast mouse movement of the fader? I tried assigning keys for the A and B side of the fader, but this also fades. Is there a chance to set a fade time for that? Or even a chance to hard cut from A to B?

Hope my question is not too confused ;-)

Thanks

Thomas

Hi Thomas,
A Hard cut is not possible at the moment, but if you link a midi note to the crossfader you can toggle between min and max values and maybe perform a hardcut this way.
We will have a look at the crossfader and maybe we can implement some more different ways of fading between A and B.

Thank you for this thread, I had been searching for a way to cut from A to B, at least now have linked a slider to the crossfader so I can quickly transition. But the ability to hard cut via a button would be even better.

I know it's a workaround, but maybe you can program your midi button on your controller to send a controller value.
This way you can have one button that sends a 127 value (B) and another to send 0 (A).
