Hello All,
In a recent post regarding new Macbooks (NOT PROS, AS I UNDERSTOOD THE POST) Bart said that Resolume 3 has been tested and runs fine on the new Macbooks, just a quick question - if you tested it - how did you run video on external drives, as there is no firewire on the new Macbooks, doesn't this cause a problem? Is USB 2.0 ok for massive clip triggering?
Thanks!
Regarding New Macbooks (NOT PRO) and no firewire.
Re: Regarding New Macbooks (NOT PRO) and no firewire.
The new macbooks have FW 800, and a 34mm slot for an eSATA card, both of which are superior to USB 2.0 for fast data transfer.
Re: Regarding New Macbooks (NOT PRO) and no firewire.
its only the macbook pros which have fw, not the macbook. but yes, esata will beat fw hands down.

in fact, does the macbook actualy have an express34 slot?

just checked, express34 is only on the pro's .... so USB seems to be the only option on the macbook.
