Wont Record Anymore?

Hello there, i recently bought a laptop and Resolume 2.3 was installed on it. I love this ting lolz. my problem is, when i click the record button, it records a small clip, im assuming less than a minute, because when i try to record a mini video or something, it gives me a 2.3gb or something avi file, that wont even play anything, says its empty. has this happened to anyone, what can i do to fix this? the laptop is a brand new asus, 2.5ghz intel dual core, 4gb ram, some fancy ati video card, vista premium. im new at this, maybe im doing something wrong? thank you in advanced^^

Did you try changing the recording settings, right click on the Record button.
Try choosing an mjpeg codec and see whether you still exeperience problems.
