can´t see preview or output in mac power book

Hello, i was wondering why i cant see the preview or the otuput in my mac (power book G4, 1,5GHz) I can only see lines in the otuput and that is it. Wonder what is the problem?? I have a MATSHITADVD-R UJ-825
graphic card.... any one can help???

Unfortunately this old grpahics card is not supported by Avenue, sorry.
