Hi,
I used resolume in a live environment for the first time. I have a couples of thoughts that i thought i'd share.
1) Bug?? Got a memory leak I think - after about 16 hours of non-stop running, resolume crashed out using 855Mb of memory, with a firewire and usb capture source (+ avi/mpg/swfs).
2) A way to refresh video sources (e.g. capture devices, vidnet servers) without restarting is needed
3) Ability to edit/remove effects from a single source from the layers view. I have my capture devices on a different deck from my content, so have to switch decks to change effects on the capture source, and switching decks isn't the fastest thing in the world.
4) Firewire output. It would be really nice if you could stream output to a firewire device (like SimpleVideoOut X) for OSX
5) If you could link layer faders opposingly, so if you have layer 2 off, with RG (not B) channels active, when you slide it in, the layer 1 gets slid down as layer 2 slides up. (i realise hardware is better for doing this but haven't found a way to get it sorted)
6) Overlay effects on the 2nd monitor. It'd be amazing if you could overlay resolume output on top of whats on the 2nd desktop anyway (eg other VJ software output)
7) Media playback - I needed to use Zoom Player to play and media files that had sound. A simple forward only playback mode for videos with sound would be really handy (for me)
8) An option to mute sound for swf files. I had the horrible "badger badger" swf as a source, and resolume got very confused with the playback of audio on this. Seemed to play multiple times depending on when activated. This meant I couldn't sound on my resolume machine.
Other than that, I had a great time with resolume, and was very impressed with it. There is a slight delay with using video live. (lip sync type problems) but i don't think much can be done about this.

Re: my thoughts
I completely agree with the firewire output... ive been racking my brain all night trying to figure out a way to do this...
