Copy and Paste clips

Post by ovo »

One thing I would find really usefull would be if you could right-click on a clip and select "copy clip".
Then if you swapped banks you could paste this clip into the new bank or composition.

Additional features to this would be the option to just copy the video or SWF, or to just copy the effects.
This way you could paste the video into an existing clip, replacing just the video and not the effects already asigned to that clip.

Or you could paste just the effects that you'd copied onto another clip.

I can do this by duplicating a clip with effects and draging a new video from the files library or by holding down the option key and dragging the effects from one clip to another. But this copy and paste option would make things quicker and would be very useful for duplicating complicated sets of effects that you want to reuse, especially in different banks and compostions.
