scrolling
well, what about scrolling the file/source browser? using the scroll bar is too slow sometimes..

Re: scrolling
You can use the scrollwheel on your mouse to scroll the list. How else would you like to do it?
Re: scrolling
what i miss in this case is the behaviour like in Resolume 2.4
so that you can push a Letter on your keyboard and he jumps to these Effects beginning with these Letters...
hope this is possible somehow, would be nice! and a possibility to sort the effects in folders!?
at least i found out that it's possible to copy effects from a clip to another with Ctrl

Re: scrolling

- i found the a/b file-switch isnt working anymore
- key shortcuts for faster scrolling in the filebrowser, ok
- would be great to make subfolders to group favorite / least favorite effects or to categorize them
- some kind of reload-button for sources would be great
- and i found that i could import a source stream from electronika (vj-program). i didnt really try that. but would it be possible to enable reso for importing source pictures from whorld or vsxu?
Re: scrolling
Hey guys
Joris
Jumping to a letter is a great way to navigate, but could possibly interfere with a user's key mapping. Jumping to an effect would then also trigger a clip. So we'll need to look at this more closely to see what the best way is. Grouping would be a better option at the moment.you can push a Letter on your keyboard and he jumps to these Effects beginning with these Letters...

Both touchpad scrolling and A/B file switching work for us on version 3.1.3. What system and version are you running? Are there any other users experiencing this as well?the scroll function of my touchpad doesnt work, but the scrollwhell of an external mouse works fine. true

I'm not familiar enough with these programs to fully understand what you mean. Could you be a bit more specific on how you're going about importing this source stream, and how you would like to import source pictures?i found that i could import a source stream from electronika (vj-program). i didnt really try that. but would it be possible to enable reso for importing source pictures from whorld or vsxu?

Maybe a combination with shift, ctrl/command or alt is an option.goto10 wrote:Hey guys

Re: scrolling
i got resolume 3.1.3 on vista
- scrolling with my touchpad (guess internal Synaptics PS/2 Port) didnt work with the recent versions. it has a scrollbar on the right side which just works like a wheel. when i want to use it in resolume, it shows a symbol that it is in use but nothing happens.
- when i use the a/b file switch, the browser doesnt keep the subfolders open, only the most top folder. so when i am searching in a very deep subfolder ive got to re-open everything after a/b-switching which can be annoying
- and another thing: the file preview! in r2 you just had to right-click once on a clip, now its a double-right-click which takes double the time when searching in a bunch of different clips
i guess that´s because mac has only got one mousebutton?! maybe u could change that for pc? would be nice!
(external sources in short: aestesis elektronika has an overlay screen "grabber", with this you can grab any part of ur desktop, eg a video played in another program. would be neat to implement such as external source plugin, because then we could use any other program in reso [winamp, whorld, vsxu, maybe even youtube] -> http://aestesis.eu/ they also got a midi sequencer module.. dreams)
elektronika source doesnt work, but strange enogh that it exists?!

Re: scrolling
Hey Yochee
Have you tried double clicking the folders?

If I understand correctly, scrolling did function for you in previous versions, and has stopped working now? Can you recall up to what version it was functioning?

To preview, you can use a normal double click.now its a double-right-click which takes double the time when searching in a bunch of different clips
Although I shudder at the thought of seeing Youtube quality clips played on a large screen, such a feature would be very useful. Thanks for pointing it out!aestesis elektronika has an overlay screen "grabber", with this you can grab any part of ur desktop

Re: scrolling
Hi!
First, when launching an older verion of Resolume, it seems that the config of the newer version is altered. (the location of (additional) video FX is lost!) - a bit annoying. - however
I've also the problem, that scrolling with my touchpad (Vista, Synaptic) does not work. Scrolling with the scrollwheel on the external mouse however works fine) While I was trying to test scrolling on older Resolume versions (which messed up my config
) I've found something interesting/strange. Could somebody try to reproduce this?
1) Navigate your mouse pointer to the filebrowser or the effects tab.
2) try to scroll (with your touchpad) IMPORTANT: do not remove your finger now! keep it at the touchpad
3) move your (external) mouse a bit. (still keep the finger on the touchpad!)
--> now the icon for scrolling is gone.
4) try to scroll with your touchpad. works! - at least on my machine
It's not a solution nor a workaround, but maybe helps to fix this bug.
Btw. Scrolling with the touchpad does not work on older versions for me.
Regarding the effects look-up:

I also miss the "type a letter and jumpt to the effect" function. I have to admit that I did not even think about keyboard mapping... Ctrl and Shift might be one way to solve this but still interferes with kayboard mapping. What about typing a key WHILE in scrolling mode (using the touchpad). Or both ways?Joris wrote:Jumping to a letter is a great way to navigate, but could possibly interfere with a user's key mapping. Jumping to an effect would then also trigger a clip.
