search bar when loading media

Post by Basic »

Hey Guys,

What i would like to see in the future and if possible is when search for content you are able to search by keywords to find specific clips say you were to have a large library.

saying that content management is the key and i know most vj's know where there clips are but sometimes i think having the ability to find and use one specific clip in an instance would be great!

Thanks
Basic :)

Hey Basic

The current clip browser is just a reflection of the video files on your harddrive. If you want to search in that info, you can use explorer or finder to do so as well.

That said, project management is a stumbling block for many VJ's once their library starts to grow. We are always thinking about new ways to improve the workflow in that area, and a search bar could well be one of the options we are playing around with.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks Joris :) yeah its biggie i see a lot of posts on vjforums for things like this.

Has anyone ever mentioned creating something like bridge but solely for the VJ clip management? This might have been mentioned before but could be good. Even a general tool for all vj's where you can have meta tags etc and search.

but saying that if apps like Bridge exist then is it really worth it making a new one from the ground up? money-time factor.

anyways enough if my rant and thanks for taking my suggestion on board :)
