Thanks for opening up a new topic for this, so I can hopefully answer the question once and for all
We definitely want to release R4 this year. We are hoping for a release around August/September, but it is impossible to commit to anything more specific for two main reasons.
One is that although things are running smoothly at the moment, you can never know when some unexpected bug pops up that could set back development considerably ('ehm... it's not supposed to shut down when you exit midi mapping, is it?'
) .
The other is that we're people with lives and families outside of Resolume HQ too, and sometimes life has a way of becoming way more important than any other thing. Let's just say that if newborn babies could code C++, we'd be releasing Resolume 5 by now
I hope that explains things a bit.
