Hi,
i have a layer with multipy to create a nice matte over a background layer. Now i want combine two layers to act as a matte.

Re: How to combine two multiply layer
I am not aware of how this is done, and I would like to do the same thing.
For example, have a black and white image to act as a mask, and have the black parts replaced with one video, and the white ones replaced with another.

Re: How to combine two multiply layer
hmm...
with 3 extra layers and a a composition with 2 instead of 1 "screen"....
example:
your comp is 1024x768
set it to 2048x768
first layers are the background and positioned left
then set 2 new layers to the right for the matte
upperst layer contains a flip effect set to vertical and with blendmode multiply 50% or so
it's quiet the same like in after effects for example...
there you also would need 2 compositions!

Re: How to combine two multiply layer
I hadn't thought of that, clever. Then you use the Advanced Output options to only show the left half of the screen, I guess?
