BM Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt ~Mac - Can't output video?

Hi,

we just bought a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle with Thunderbolt for our MacBookPro running Resolume Avenue 4.

So far we can use BM's supplied software to record video-in and output the same image to a TV using the Shuttle's HDMI out.

And in Resolume, the Shuttle appears as a camera source and works, so that's great!!!

The Problem is that it only exports to the TV as the Camera source, not as our Resolume show.

How do I fix this? We were hoping to use the Shuttle so we could get a camera in, and export live to a projector.

The problem with this MacBookPro Thunderbolt business is that there is only ONE thunderbolt port. Nobody makes a hub for these damn things. The cords cost $55. Apparently they will daisy-chain, but of course the Blackmagic Intensity doesn't have a Thunderbolt-out port so that's the end of the road. Aaaaaarrrggghhhhh!!!!

I was disappointed to realise that the Shuttle does not appear as a 2nd monitor on the Mac using the Display Prefs. You can only use the video-out on software that supports Blackmagic devices, not just do video-out for the Mac in general like having a 2nd monitor does.

Anyway, the main question is here, is it possible for us to use this BM Shuttle to get a camera feed in and at the same time send-out video from Resolume 4 of the complete live show, not just the camera input.

I fear the only answer to my problem is to spend some more money on this hub that will hopefully be released in September;

I'm afraid that there is no solution for this at the moment.

We've made a sticky and info on our site to spread awareness about this, because it sucks to spend a lot of money on something and then find out it doesn't work. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9550

Btw: the hub will not help you out either since it only has 2 thunderboltports. 1 to your computer, 1 to your capturedevice: none left for output...

Just a heads up before buying...
