Hello,
I've been trying to sync up some effects etc. with music in the club where we run Resolume, and I noticed that the BPM counter always seems to run slower than its setting, e.g. BPM set to 120 BPM, but the counter only runs approximately 112 beats in a minute, 130 BPM setting counts off around 122 beats, 100 BPM gets through about 94 beats, etc., etc. So, even when I set the BPM to be exactly the same as the song playback and hit resync, the beat count starts to fall behind the actual beats of the song.
This also seems to happen with external MIDI clock. Sending clock from our DJM 900 mixer sets the Resolume BPM to the correct value and changes with the music playback, but again the beat count and 4 segment beat display fall behind the actual beats of the music.
Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
Resolume version: 4.1.0 or 4.0.1 (problem same for both versions)
Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
Processor: Intel Core i7 - 3820 (3.6 GHz, 8 core)
MainBoard: Gigabyte X79-UD3
Ram: 16GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz
128GB SSD (holding operating system, software and content)
Graphics: 2 x Asus Radeon EAH6950 DCII/2DI4S/1GD5 (running separately, NOT Crossfire)
Thanks for any advice,
Mark Jolly

Re: BPM Counter Running Slow
Audio settings are:
Audio Output Device: Primary Sound Driver (this is the standard Mb built-in Realtek HD)
Master Output Channels: Left & Right
Master Output Delay: 0 ms
Preview Output: No output
Sample Rate 44100
Buffer Size 512
External Audio FFT Input: No Input
Audio FFt Input Gain: 0.0dB
Please note that I am not trying to perform external audio FFT analysis to drive any parameters (it seems to give a massive FPS hit when I try to do that!),and none of the clips I use have sound. I am simply talking about the number of beats that the BPM counter section of Resolume counts off in a minute being low compared to the value it is set to. Obviously this leads to any beat-related effects I use falling rapidly out of sync.
Thanks again,
Mark

Re: BPM Counter Running Slow
I noticed that
I had a similar "feature" of slow beat counting.... I just modified the audio Buffersize a bit... and voilá.
I know it sounds strange....but it is related with each other.
Just give it a try!

Re: BPM Counter Running Slow
I sense a glimmer of hope on my horizon!
Did you increase or decrease the buffer? What value works for you?
Thanks!
