Bug 4.1.1 - Dashboard Knobs!

Post by gradek »

I think I found a Bug in a specific OSC command. [EDIT: I was wrong, read post below]

The string: /composition/audio/volume/values
Does not not work properly in Avenue 4.1.1 but work fine in 4.0.1

Using the same TouchOSC layout I was able to control the composition audio level only in the older version of Resolume, but not the newest 4.1.1

Can someone else please test to confirm this on their end.

Cheers,
Martin

Re: OSC Bug 4.1.1 - Knob Issues

Ok, so I figured out what was causing the glitch, but the behavior is different between versions.

The Composition Audio Levels was linked to a Dashboard knob. In version 4.0.1 The OSC command overrides the dashboard knob value. In Version 4.1.1 the knob overrides the value that it is linked too. I can't even change the value with the mouse, yet alone an OSC command.

This behaviors seems odd to me, and I'd like to able to link parameters to knobs and still be able to use OSC command or mouse to change the value, and not have to be forced to the use the Dashboard knob. This makes mapping and interface interaction frustrating.

From what I can tell this is a bug, and only is affecting the Composition Dashboard, and not the clip or layer dashboard.
