Preset A/B channels on loaded decks ...

Post by theLABVisuals »

Just been working on a mini tour for a theatre roadshow and used Resolume 4 to trigger all audio and video. Throughout the roadshows, I switched between decks etc. as and when needed. This was all fine, until I had a five minute "VJ set", and 80% of the time, upon finishing my set forgot to set up the A/B channels again to continue the show.

My wish list is to have the facility to set A/B layer automatically on the deck loading (so no more embaressing messups with decks). Have the master A/B as it is on the layers currently, but let each deck specify its own A/B layer settings.

Ta.

Having certain things be different per deck in something we recently discussed internally. It has a certain appeal, but it also adds a fourth level to Resolume (composition, layer, clip and now deck) which can be confusing. We need to consider this a lot more before we will do anything along these lines.

Personally, all it would need for me (anyway) would be the facility to set A/B/off on the deck. No need for effects etc. Literally a preset if you like of how the layers are set when using that deck.
