res 2.3 on w7. screen settings not talking 2 pojector....

I have just moved onto w7 with my res 2.3 from xp. In screen settings( two along from chaos button on resolume 2.3) the second moitor option always says dvd max. So......how can I change this? And also in w7 what setting should I use?
On xp I have been using res 2.3 for eight years and have always sorted tech probs out very quickly myself, but as windows 7 is so new to me I just simply don't know the 'route' as yet.
Please help as I have a gig on sat and don't want to have to use my old laptop with xp on!!
I know it will prob be a straight forward silly thing I have simply overlooked, so please bear with me and prod me in the right direction xx
