Hi,
For the first time since setting up a new machine to run Arena, I tried doing some video playback with audio.
The audio meters in Resolume both on the layer and output show that there is audio there, but it doesn't register on the audio mixer in Windows 7. A Resolume channel appears in the Windows audio mixer but with no level.
In Resolume preferences I have tried pretty much all the settings, audio devices, buffer rate, etc but to no luck.
Any ideas on why this isn't working?
The motherboard is an Asus P9X79 Pro, Intel X79, S 2011, with on-board audio card and Realtek drivers.
The OS is Windows 7 pro 64bit.
Thanks,
Tim

Could you try the Asio4All drivers?

Will give this a try when I am in the office.

Re: No Audio out of Arena
OK. I am feeling a bit stupid!
I didn't notice that the audio level was turned down in the composition panel...
I think what confused me was that there is an audio meter above the layer meters that showed level. I realise now that this is different to the 'EQ' meters that show levels when the composition audio is up.
What is the purpose of the single meter (on the top composition control bar) and maybe that should respond to the composition audio level?

Thanks,
Tim

Re: No Audio out of Arena
The single meter is there precisely to help you track down an issue like yours. The EQ shows the audio 'post fader', while the single line shows it 'pre fader'.
So if you 'see' audio on the single line, but not on the EQ, you know the level is turned down somewhere in Resolume.
But since it didn't help you intuitively, perhaps we should revisit this behaviour at some point.

Thanks Joris,
Now I know how it works there is no problem. I should have remembered that you get an EQ when it is outputting but just got a bit confused, assuming the top level meter meant that it was outputting.
If I am the only person that it confused then don't worry about changing things.

Re: No Audio out of Arena
Thanks, we'll take a look anyway. It's not that dangerous to fix, and the current behaviour is a bit willy-nilly.
